Disability Sport Fife (DSF) recently organised, with support from the Scottish FA and hosted by Kirkcaldy High School, their 2012 7-a-side Football League.

The League is for pupils with additional support needs and DSF is indebted to the Rector and staff of Kirkcaldy HS for allowing use of the 7s pitches at the school for this very popular League tournament.

The 7-a-side League is run over three series and DSF is hoping to encourage the involvement of additional Fife schools later in the year.

Scottish FA referee Sean Hall controlled proceedings throughout the day and was hugely impressed by the manner in which the players from participating schools performed throughout.

Recently appointed Disability Football Officer at the Scottish FA, David McArdle, attended his first Fife event and paid tribute to the players for their quality of play and attention to fair play and sportsmanship.

The young players are now looking forward to the second Series event which will be held on 29 February, once again at Kirkcaldy HS.
