Dumfries Girls Football Club and Dumfries and Galloway College have teamed up in an innovative new partnership to help promote the club, and give graphics students real world experience.
Club chairperson Sue Strachan said: “The club were in desperate need of some new posters and flyers but we had no spare cash to spend on a professional job.
"Thanks must go to the Scottish FA development officer Robbie Totten for getting us in touch with the college graphics department. The students were happy to use our club as a real life project.”
Under the expert tutelage of Duncan Lamont, graphics students Chris and sports photography student Susan Briggs met with Dumfries Girls FC and hatched a plan.
Susan attended match and training sessions and took photographs which can be viewed on her own website www.sebphotography.co.uk. Chris and Susan worked on the design and Sue Strachan provided the text.
The final result is a fabulous poster and flyers which capture the fun of being part of the club whilst informing girls and parents alike about the club structure and what they stand for-providing football for girls in a safe fun environment.
The posters and flyers have been printed beautifully by Solway Offset and will be seen popping up on notice boards near you.
