Two of East Kilbride’s oldest clubs have merged, creating football opportunities for over 400 players.
East Kilbride Young Men’s FC, formed in 1936, and East Kilrbride Youth Club, formed in 1969, have come together to create East Kilbride Youth and Men's Club (EKYMC).
The new club is committed to creating a clear pathway from the youth to adult game.
There are now 20 teams ranging from four-years-old to over 40s.
The club, who are Scottish FA Quality Mark and Disability Football accredited, have an ethos based on being a positive influence in the community.
Scottish FA club development manager Graeme Mathie said: “This is a very exciting time in the history of both clubs.
“Both clubs saw an opportunity to grow by partnership working, and it is huge credit to the committee's of both clubs that they have worked towards this goal together.
“It's not only a pathway for players that can be delivered through this partnership, but a pathway for coaches, and also the opportunity for both clubs to share resources, facilities, and expertise.
“I am really looking forward to working with the new club going forward.”
