Kemnay Football Club celebrated it's 30th anniversary year with its annual tournament on Saturday 16th May.
Following heavy rain overnight, a dedicated team of volunteers were on hand from 6am to prepare the pitches, set up gazebos and tents, erect signs and make Bogbeth Park ready for the annual event.
The host Club welcomed some 50 teams and almost 500 players from clubs across the North and North East of Scotland to its annual festival of football.
The morning session saw some 21 teams of children between the ages of 5 and 8 from Kemnay, Kintore, Inverurie, Alford, Aberdeen and Stonehaven compete in a football festival with every child presented with a commemorative medal for their efforts.
The medals were presented by Aberdeen FC’s very own Angus the Bull.
The afternoon session saw teams compete in the Under 10, Under 11, and Under 12 age groups and, despite the weather, there was some excellent football on show.
Colony Park were the Under 10 winners, with Aberdeen FC
and Culter BC securing the Under 11 and 12 prizes.
Despite the weather, the football on show was excellent and all the teams, their coaches and supporters deserve great credit.
All the children had an enjoyable day, despite the rain and Kemnay Football Club proved once again that it hosts one of the best Tournaments in Aberdeenshire.
We would like thank Evening Express for all the photographs taken at the event.
