Forfar Albion Junior Football Club is the first Junior club within the Scottish FA East region to have been awarded the Scottish FA Adult Quality Mark accreditation.

The award is part of their ambitions to become a bigger and stronger club that is committed to increasing football participation in the local community, as well as raising standards and increasing the development of players, coaches and volunteers.

The Scottish FA’s club development manager Kevin Lee, who helped the club complete the Quality Mark process, said: “We are delighted that Forfar Albion JFC are the first Junior clubs in the East region to achieve the new Adult Quality Mark accreditation.

"Forfar Albion are working closely with local youth Quality Mark club 'Forfar Boys Club' to provide a pathway from children and youths into the adult game, which we hope will encourage local players to stay in Forfar and football.”

The club's recent affiliation with Forfar Boys' Club and amateur club, Letham Lads is proving a very successful amalgamation for creating a pathway for coaches, players and volunteers to develop from under-7s to under-19s and onward into Amateur and Junior football.
