Fraserburgh Academy pupils recently enjoyed a football trip of a lifetime to Valencia with the travel company Inspiresport.
42 S1 - S5 boys and girls and four members of staff set off for a six-day school trip in the April holidays to the home of Spain's third largest team, staying in a hotel right next to the first team's training facilities.
The Valencia coaching staff delivered training sessions based on the high standards employed by their own youth academies and the Fraserburgh youngsters responded well showing good ability and attitude throughout.
The coaching sessions lasted for four hours per day and covered all aspects of play. Each session featured a specific technique. Dedicated coaches worked with players and developed each individual's balance, speed, attitude and skill.
The group also had the added bonus of attending the Europa League fixture between Valencia and Athletico Madrid at the Mestalla stadium including a stadium tour.
Fraserburgh Academy Football rep and group organiser Lynn Hay said: "This was an excellent experience for the youngsters. They showed good ability, were dedicated, had an excellent attitude both on and off the pitch, and were a credit to the school and their familes throughout. We hope that this is an experience they will remember for a long time to come."
