Redford Barracks, Edinburgh was the venue for the South East Region Girls' League Cup Finals, after the original event at Pennypitt was postponed due to bad weather.

With so many teams entered in to this season's U13s league, the cup was split in to two sections, with teams qualifying to compete in either the consolation cup stage or the League Cup Final itself.

In the U13s League Cup Final, a classic was played out between Hibernian and eventual winners Hutchison Vale.  In a dramatic game, Hibs took the lead within a minute but Hutchie soon equalised.  Hutchie then took control of the first half and finished with a strong 3-1 lead.

Hibs were not willing to give up and battled back to 3-3 before match official Terry Donnelly blew the final whistle.  By the end of extra time the teams were still level at 4-4, and the game was eventually decided on penalties, with Hutchison Vale triumphing 2-1.  With plenty of goals and exciting skills, the supporters were thrilled with the football on display.

In the U13s Consolation Cup Final, Whitburn Claret qualified to compete against their development team, and it was Claret who came out on top, winning 9-0.  Despite some good passing moves from the younger Amber outfit, they could not find their way past a stubborn Claret defence, and the senior side eventually emerged victorious.

Hibs came out on top in the U15s final, winning 6-0 against West Lothian outfit Murieston United. Hibs displayed some clinical finishing to wrap up the win, but credit must go to Murieston who battled all the way, and were spurred on by a large, noisy support.

Hibs U15s were were also presented with their league trophy on the day by Shelley Kerr (Scotland U19s Coach) and Ann-Helen Grahm (Assistant National Coach).

Hibs also came out on top in the last cup final of the day, with a 5-0 victory over Hutchison Vale. The game was again hard fought, with chances for both sides. But Hibs proved that they had brought their shooting boots, and finished the season with a bang.

A special thanks to all those who worked to make it a memorable day for all the teams involved.
