The Scottish FA, Dundee City Council and McDonald's Game and Coaching Programme held the region's first girls' only festival, attracting over 100 girls to Soccer World.

The McDonald's Game and Coaching Programme is delivered by Scottish FA coaches in over 400 primary schools each year.

Four Primary Schools were in attendance including Eastern, Barnhill, St Andrews and Ardler.

Niall Nicolson, Football Co-ordinator for Dundee City Council and the Scottish FA said:  "It was a great day, and it was fantastic to see so many girls playing football with smiles on their faces.

"Our aim is to get these girls involved with a football team within the local community, and if football is not their thing, then we aim to provide links to other extra curricular activity."
