Spartans Academy, Edinburgh was the venue for the South East Region Girls' League Cup Finals which took place on Saturday 25 June 2011.

Due to the number of teams competing in this season's U13s league, the cup was again split in to two sections, with teams competing in either the consolation cup or the League Cup Final itself.

In the U13s League Cup Final, a good game was played out between Falkirk FC Futures and eventual winners Falkirk FC who are both part of the same club.  It was a dramatic game which swung from end to end in the first half with little to split the two.  However in the second half Falkirk FC ran out eventual winners with a convincing display.  Congratulations to both teams for such an entertaining and attacking game which finally ended with the more experienced Falkirk FC emerging as victors.

In the U13s Consolation Cup Final Boroughmuir Thistle Purples entertained Broxburn Athletic Girls as both teams made their first appearance in the final.  Congratulations to Broxburn who grabbed a list minute goal in a 2-1 victory despite good chances at both ends.  A massive achievement for both teams however with Broxburn winning for the first time since becoming involved in the girls setup three years ago.

The day was rounded off with the U15s final with Hibs Girls looking to avenge last seasons cup final defeat against Murieston.  A large crowd turned out to watch the game which again moved from end to end with both teams creating good chances.  By the time the half time whistle blew Hibs had established a slender 1-0 lead with a fine long range effort.  After the restart the girls continued where they left off by creating chances aplenty before Hibs grabbed their second goal with another long range effort from the impressive Lia Tweedie. Hutchison Vale pulled a goal back but despite piling on the pressure late on could not manage to get the equaliser required to take it in to extra time as Hibs ran out 2-1 victors.

A special thanks to all those who worked to make it a memorable day for all the teams involved.
