This month has seen a massive development in the girls'/ women’s game in the country, with a Club Development Officer for girls’/women’s football appointed in each of the six Scottish FA regions.

Corrie Campbell is the new west region Club Development Officer, based at the regional office, Renfrew KGV Pavilion.
 
The creation of these six new posts was made possible thanks to support from the Scottish Government's Cashback for Communities programme.

The officers will be responsible for increasing the number of registered players in the game by 1500 players per year and help to develop girls and women’s football in Scotland. Previous investment through CashBack has supported the Scottish FA to work with elite Scottish Women's Premier League clubs to increase the amount of training from twice per week to a minimum of four sessions, and in some cases 10 sessions, per week.
