Renfrewshire Council is asking for your views on how to improve the area’s playing fields.

The Council will be holding public consultation meetings during September and October in local community areas, giving you the opportunity to discuss and shape its Playing Field Strategy.

The Council is committed to providing high quality and affordable sports and leisure facilities across the area, and its Playing Field Strategy has been produced following extensive data collection and analysis. This looked at the existing situation, tested the current provision and identified future requirements.

Wide ranging consultation has already taken place with local sports organisations, national bodies and sportscotland.

An important part of taking the strategy forward is getting the views of the public, to explore options and solutions that include creation and management of community sports hubs, and leasing of pitches.
