Greenock Morton goalkeeper Colin Stewart has teamed up with the Scottish FA South West region to deliver a coaching clinic titled Needs and demands of the Goalkeeper.
Three two-hour sessions will be delivered on the following dates:
Friday 17th September – Greenwood Academy
Friday 24th September – Hamilton Palace
Friday 1st October – David Keswick Centre
All sessions run from 6.30pm – 8.30pm.
Colin and his brother Ross will deliver the sessions, which will instruct coaches on how to deliver simple drills and game related practices focusing on incorporating the goalkeeper into outfield player practices.
The drills will all start in a simple fashion and progressively add layers of detail that are vital to get the very best out of our goalkeepers.
Information will also be provided on the Goalkeeping Coach Education pathway and participants will have the opportunity to ask the tutors to deliver specific practices relevant to their own goalkeeper's individual needs.
Attendees are invited to participate in the session and if your club goalkeeper is available they are also welcome to come along and take part.
