Scottish FA to create world's first Para-Football Affiliated National Association

Following an investment of more than £100,000 from the Scottish FA, the Scottish Para-Football Association will empower individual Para-Football organisations to run their game according to their own wishes.

It will provide sustainability for the individual Para-Football associations, recognising the demands placed on their volunteers and allowing them to grow at a speed suitable for their own needs.

SSE named title sponsor of Scottish FA Girls' Soccer Centres

The Scottish FA is delighted to announce SSE as title sponsor of the Scottish FA Girls’ Soccer Centres.

Thanks to SSE’s investment, the Scottish FA aims to have more than 1,000 girls enrolled across 50 Soccer Centres by the end of 2018.

MSPs were given an opportunity to hear how young people are shaping Scottish football’s future – directly from the young people themselves – as the Scottish FA held a special evening at the Scottish Parliament to showcase a selection of their youth-oriented Cashback for Communities initiatives.

Scottish FA helps community clubs realise ambitions

After receiving investment from the Big Lottery Fund, the Scottish FA identified three clubs with "aspirations of boosting their positive impact on the local community and undertaking community asset transfers" – League Two Annan Athletic, Junior side Jeanfield Swifts and Bonnyrigg Rose Community Football Club – for the Developing Community Football Clubs pilot project and set about helping them to help themselves.
