Heriot Watt University is delighted to announce that Michael Renwick has agreed to become the new Head Coach of the University’s Football Club. Michael joins the University with experience of Senior League Football in Scotland in roles as a player, coach and manager.
Speaking of the appointment, Ross Campbell (Sports Scholarship Coordinator) said, “We are delighted to welcome Michael to our staff. Heriot Watt University Football Club has had a tremendous amount of success in the last six years and we hope that this continues under Michael’s guidance.”
“The facilities we have at the University, through our partnership with Heart of Midlothian FC, accompanied by our Football Scholarship Programme allow us to attract the very best young footballers in the country to the University. We believe that Michael has the necessary skills and qualifications to continue the development of players at the University.”
In speaking of his new appointment Michael says, “I am delighted to be offered this post. The facilities at the University combined with the option of a Football Scholarship, makes the University a fantastic place to come and learn. I look forward to working with the players in the coming months and hope to continue the success of the past few years.”
