Motherwell Girls and Rangers shared the League Cup Final honours, with the Girls U13, U15 and U17 finals taking place on Sunday 15th November.

It was an all Motherwell affair in the U13 final, which kicked-off the day at Toryglen Regional Football Centre. Motherwell Girls faced Motherwell Academy and while the Academy held their own for the first 20 minutes, the Girls slowly got into their stride, running out 7-0 winners.

In the 1 o'clock kick off, Motherwell were in the line up again, this time facing Falkirk Ladies Blue.  Falkirk were out to upset Motherwell's season having been pipped to the league title, and the game did not disappoint.  At 1-1 going into the final 5 minutes, a very late goal from Motherwell snatched them the victory.

The final game of the day was Falkirk Ladies v Rangers in the U17 final.  Falkirk Ladies were very much the underdogs going into the game and so their fans were surprised and delighted when they took an early lead.

Rangers hit back a short while later with a superb strike, before a penalty took them into the lead. Two more goals in the second half sealed the win.

Congratulations to all the girls involved, the games were all played in an excellent spirit with some superb football over the day.
