The Scottish FA is running their annual 'International C-Licence' at the Toryglen Regional Football Centre facility in Glasgow during 7th September – 11th September 2015.
Scottish FA Coach Education has long been regarded as a benchmark for coaching excellence and in recent years we have been inundated with requests from Scottish and foreign coaches living abroad wanting to continue their education. The difficulty has been that the dates of courses have previously been spread out over a 3-4 week period.
The 'International C-Licence' is exactly the same format as the current C-Licence, however it will take place over five days, including the coach assessment. This will hopefully allow our well-travelled coaches to return to Scotland and engage with the coaching pathway on more manageable terms.
Toryglen will host the course and is an ideal location as it is only 15 minutes away from city centre hotels and Glasgow International Airport.
The pre-requisite for the course will be that each candidate must have a Scottish FA 1.3 Coaching in the Game certificate or have completed 30 hours of coach education with another Football Association. Every application must be accompanied by a coaching CV.
There are numerous packages available for candidates ranging from ‘course only’ to a ‘residential’ option along with a guaranteed ticket for the crucial Euro 2016 qualifying game at Hampden Park against World Cup holders Germany on the 7th of September.
More details on these packages can be found in the application form. Applications will be considered upon submission with confirmation of a place on the course given as early as possible. The closing date for applications will be Friday 31st July.
