With the change of season for girls' and women's football in full swing for a second season, the women's national team on course for qualifying for the play-offs for the World Cup Finals, and the female game still the fastest growing sport in the world, many clubs are now creating opportunities for girls and women to play football in the city.

Broughty United YFC

The club will be hosting a series of taster sessions for the creation of the their new girls section. As part of the Dundee East Community Sports Club project, Broughty United are now offering anyone in the community the opportunity to play football. The six-week drop-in centre, with a vision of creating new teams for season 2011,  will begin on Saturday 21st August, 2010. Any females between the age of 8-12 years who want to take part in fun football coaching sessions invited to come along.

Cost: £2 per session
Age: 8 - 12 year olds

In 2009 Dundee West CSC were awarded the Scottish FA Quality Mark Community Status and would like to invite any players to join their girls section.
