Scotland v Austria
UEFA Women's Nations League
Friday, 30 May 2025 - 7.35pm (UK Time)
Hampden Park, Glasgow

Melissa Andreatta is preparing to lead her team out at Hampden Park for the first time as Scotland take on Austria in the final home match of the 2025 UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign.

SWNT are looking to get their first points on the board in order to boost their chances of ‘League A’ survival ahead of a trip to the Netherlands on Tuesday.

The last time the two sides met, Scotland lost out narrowly despite being on top for large spells in Ried-innkreis in February. Alex Schriebl’s side retained the points courtesy of a Lilli Purtsheller goal, marking Austria’s first ever win against Scotland.

Friday’s game is the Scotland Women’s National Team’s 400th match and will be attended by some of the trailblazers in the game who will be awarded with their retrospective caps in a pre-match ceremony.

Team news

Captain Rachel Corsie returns along with Mia McAulay who replaces injured Sam Kerr. The remainder of the squad is fit and available for selection.

Pre-match thoughts

Scotland Women’s National Team Head Coach, Melissa Andreatta: “I only see opportunity on Friday night and yes, there's going to be tough times and there's a lot of progress to be made, but we believe we have what it takes to get the win and we're going to fight.

“We want to make sure those points don’t leave Hampden Park.

“What I’ve learnt about this group is that previous results haven’t affected their belief.

“We believe in our heart that we can do something, and it’s just putting all the pieces together in order for us to match that belief with the performance and the results.”
