East Dunbartonshire Council Football Development has launched its new Bank of Scotland Midnight League programme.

It will start at two venues at either side of the county this Friday and Saturday night at Allander LC, Milngavie on Fridays, 8.30-10.30pm and Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre on Saturday nights, 7-9pm, with a third due to start mid February on the completion of the new Football facility at Huntershill, Bishopbriggs.

Please note that due to adverse weather conditions the start of the League at Kirkintilloch has been postponed.  Check back for Updates as to when it will begin.

The League at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre on a Saturday night will link in with a multi agency project in partnership with the local Police, youth workers, the Street Links team and the Community Safety team. The Centre will open for lots of activity between 6pm and 9pm free of charge to youths aged 12 - 18.

Bank of Scotland Midnightleague is a national network of diversionary 5-a-side football activity run in partnership with the Scottish FA, targeting disengaged youths aged 12 to 17.

The Midnightleague programme has expanded over the last four years into all 32 Scottish local authorities, and in 2009 nearly 10,000 kids have participated in football activity at 75 local community venues.
