Last Saturday 58 boys and girls from local nurseries within Stirling attended a free Mini Kickers fun day at the Peak.
This event followed 3 weeks of football coaching at these nurseries and give the young players their first taste of the football.
On the day all of the children involved were able to learn lots of football skills as well as meet some new friends. The day was made even more special for one lucky young footballer as Lucy Johnson won a free Scotland home kit!
Active Stirling Football Coach, Graeme Henderson said
" It is great to see so many young boys and girls enjoying their first experience of football. The Minikickers programme is designed to help children not just with their football skills but also their balance, co-ordination and motor skills. The children have been smiling all day and that is a credit to the coaches involved. Hopefully every child can leave today with a special memory of scoring their first goal or making their first save.
