David Sheldon and Karen McConnell have been appointed as the new Club Development team for the South East Region.  David takes over as Club Development Manager following 5 years working in Edinburgh as a Football Development Officer.  “I am looking forward to the challenges in working with the clubs, coaches and volunteers within the South East Region.  David Drummond and the Regional team have done fantastically well in supporting the Clubs and I want to continue the great work that has gone on.  I want to wish David all the best in his new role as Regional Manager and I look forward to working with him again in the months years to come”.

 

Karen McConnell, a former National Youth Team player begins a new role as one of 6 Club Development Officers for Girl’s and Women’s Football across the Country.  “I’m really looking forward to my new role.  Girls’ and Women’s football is the fastest growing sport in the world and so to be involved with a sport that I love is so exciting.  I’m looking forward to getting to know the team at the Scottish FA as well as working with Clubs across the Region.

 

Both David and Karen will be based at Peffermill, Edinburgh and will cover the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, West, Mid and East Lothian.
