The awards aim to recognise and reward grassroots clubs and volunteers across the country, who dedicate their time to developing and progressing the grassroots game in Scotland.

* Volunteer of the Year in Adult Football
* Volunteer of the Year in Disability Football

Details of the shortlist of nominees for the People’s Award (Merit Award for Services to Football), and the voting process, will be confirmed in August, ahead of the prestigious national awards ceremony at Hampden Park the following month.
Scottish FA Director of Football Development, Jim Fleeting, said: “Grassroots clubs and volunteers dedicate countless hours to the grassroots game in Scotland. We have the pleasure of working with them week in and week out, and see the effort that they put in to ensure young footballers have the best possible experiences. The Scottish FA Grassroots Awards, presented by McDonald’s and The Sunday Mail offer local communities the chance to recognise and celebrate those that give so much to their community. Without them football in Scotland wouldn’t exist as we know it and we urge everyone to get behind their local unsung heroes and nominate them for an award now.”
McDonald’s has been community partner of The Scottish FA for over 14 years. Together we will be working to help Quality Mark clubs raise the standards of grassroots football through better safety, better advice, better coaching for better coaches, better kit, better support and better recognition for volunteers.
