Slovakia v Scotland
Pinatar Cup
Saturday, 19 February 2022, kick-off 2.30pm (UK time)
Pinatar Arena, San Pedro del Pinatar
Scotland will look to bounce back from the disappointment of Wednesday’s loss to Wales when they take on Slovakia in the next round of the Pinatar Cup.
After going down 3-1 to Wales in their opening match, Scotland can no longer defend the title they won at the inaugural tournament back in 2020.
They will now look to use their remaining two matches to prepare for their vital FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification double-header against Ukraine and Spain in April.
Slovakia will also be aiming to pick up their form in the tournament, having lost their opening match in 4-0 to Belgium.
Team News
Scotland Head Coach Pedro Martinez Losa has been given a welcome boost by the arrival in camp of Scotland Captain Rachel Corsie, who missed the opening game after recovering from a recent bout of Covid-19.

Pre-match thoughts
Lana Clelland opened the scoring for Scotland against Wales and admitted it was a bittersweet moment after conceding the equaliser so quickly.
"That goal's been a long time coming for me. I just wish it had counted for more.
"It's doubly frustrating because we've been working hard on things like switch of play, and it all came together for the goal. It was a great cross from Christy (Grimshaw).
"You want to be competitive and win any game you're involved in, but we also know there's a bigger picture and we're here for training camp to implement what Pedro and his staff are looking for. It's coming together, slowly."
The squad hope to show signs of progress against Slovakia.
"I think the equaliser reinforces that, at this level, you can't lose your concentration, even for a second. We all know in football that you're at your most vulnerable when you've just scored.
"This is the first time Pedro's really had time to work with us on the training ground. To have 10 straight days will be of real benefit to us.
"You can see things creeping into our game that we've been working on. No-one likes losing but it's just a process we're going through.
"We're learning new things that might not come naturally at times but we'll get there."
