Over forty young footballers from Mill United FC in Hamilton had a great morning’s football at Toryglen Regional Football Centre this week.
Coach Ross Reddiex invited Scottish FA club development manager John Brown along to deliver a fun coaching session for the club's latest intake of players. The boys and girls then played 4 v 4 games at the state of the art indoor centre - and the skills on display were very impressive!
All parents who attended were also involved in a discussion on using football as a tool to educate young people and give them valuable life skills. This is part of the Scottish FA's partnership with Positive Coaching Scotland, which aims to benefit young players using a learning-focused approach rather than everything being results driven.
The Mill United age group raised the money to hire the venue themselves. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and the Scottish FA wishes Ross, the other coaches, parents and players at Mill United every success in the future.
