Positive Coaching Scotland – a grassroots football culture change programme – has been well received by coaches in Angus.

The PCS vision is a football culture in Scotland where young players are developed in a positive, safe environment, where they learn to win through effort and where valuable life lessons are taught.

Over 50 coaches attended a PCS workshop to learn about the coaching methods within the programme.

Craig Pilon, Angus Council football development officer, said: “I was  delighted to see such a fantastic turnout from the Angus clubs for this PCS workshop.

The workshops are a vital tool for spreading the PCS message but most pleasing was to hear the many good stories of what is currently happening within the Angus clubs.

“I now look forward to seeing the many messages of PCS picked up and mplemented back at their teams and clubs to allow young people to nurture and develop to their full potential.”
