Renfrewshire-based young players from Johnstone Burgh and Houston Arms recently helped highlight the support being provided by the Scottish FA at grass roots level.

The Quality Mark programme - aimed at creating links between youth and adult teams in communities across Scotland - is being implemented across the nation by the sport's governing body.

The young players attended a St Mirren v St Johnstone SPL match and enjoyed some Fun Fours football on St Mirren park at half-time.

After, they enjoyed a lap of honour around the pitch.

Over 300 grassroots young players enjoyed free entry to the game as part of the club’s ongoing community club voucher scheme.
