School of Football Pupils of St Machar Academy successfully completed the Scottish FA School of Football two year programme.
The Scottish FA Schools of Football are about more than just playing ability; they aim to mould better citizens, as well as better footballers, through social and educational development.
As part of the programme, a group of pupils from St Machar Academy's feeder schools were selected to attend the School of Football to follow an enhanced timetable which includes a period of football activity every day.
Football is used as a tool to motivate the pupils, and their place on the School of Football programme depends on school attendance and academic improvement.
The pupils are coached by Scottish FA Player and Coach Development Officer Calum Macdonald.
Calum said: “Well done to all the pupils successfully completing the School of Football programme.
"All pupils have worked very hard over the two years and have improved as footballer’s and more importantly become better people and more focused on their education.”
