Tuesday, 31 October KO 7.45pm

Hampden Park, Glasgow

Scotland will host the Netherlands in the second game of our UEFA Women’s Nations League double-header tomorrow night.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side go into the game off the back of a 4-0 defeat in Nijmegen on Friday. Goals from Danielle van de Donk, Esmee Brugts and a double from Lineth Beerensteyn sealed a comprehensive victory for Andreis Jonker’s side who are ranked 7th in the world.

Scotland are currently bottom of ‘League A’ with one point at the halfway stage, with the Netherlands top of the table on six points.

Team News

The group is boosted with the return of midfielder Erin Cuthbert. The rest of the squad is fit and available for selection.

Pre-match thoughts

Following Friday’s defeat, Scotland midfielder, Lisa Evans said: “At the end of the day we’ve got another performance on Tuesday, and we need to make it better. We know ourselves we can do better than we showed and we need to put it right.

“Holland are a top side – they’ve not been in finals for no reason. To be honest, they gave us a footballing lesson. We need to review the game and do the basics better.

“We need to be way more aggressive than what we showed and we’ve got the opportunity to put it right.”
