Israel v Scotland
UEFA Women’s European Qualifiers
Tuesday, 4 June, kick off 3pm (UK)
BSC Stadium, Budaors
The Scotland Women's National Team travel to Hungary in the reverse fixture of Friday night’s match against Israel in the latest UEFA European Qualifier. Pedro Martinez Losa’s side secured an emphatic 4-1 victory last week with a brace from Claire Emslie and goals from Kirsty Hanson and Martha Thomas.

Following that result, Scotland now sit top of Group B2 as we go into the second half of the campaign. Sophie Howard has also contributed to Scotland’s goal tally so far with a decisive header in a 1-0 win over Slovakia. With two wins, a draw and only one goal conceded so far, the Scots are looking to retain pole position in the group as the play-offs come into view.

Tomorrow’s opponents sit bottom of the table and go into the match on a run of defeats. Prior to Friday’s result, they also lost 4-2 and 2-0 to Serbia and Slovakia respectively. They were promoted from ‘League C’ following an unbeaten UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign last year.
Team news
Sarah Ewens drops out of the squad due to injury and is replaced by Leah Eddie.
Pre-match thoughts
Speaking ahead of the game, Pedro Martinez Losa: "Our main focus and inspiration is for Scotland to qualify for the Euros in Switzerland next summer and we have to be at the top of the group, where we are now, we have to win games and that's what we remain focussed on.
"I've always been proud of this team. Obviously when we put in a good performance, getting the result is a good reward for that. This is also an important moment to recognise Jane Ross for reaching 150 caps which she secured at Hampden Park last week, this is an incredible achievement for an incredible person on and off the pitch.
"I thought the way we played in the first half on Friday was excellent. We created a lot of opportunities and that's something we want to repeat on Tuesday."
