Scotland travel to Helsinki for the second leg of their European Championship play-off final against Finland. The first leg at Easter Road ended in a 0-0 draw last Friday with neither side able to break the deadlock.

Pedro Martinez Losa's side are one victory away from their first major tournament since 2019. Should the game end in a draw, extra time and penalties will follow with the winning team progressing to the finals in Switzerland next summer.

The last time the two sides met in Finland, Scotland emerged victorious with a 2-1 win in July 2023, goals courtesy of Caroline Weir and Emma Watson.

Scotland go into the game on a nine-game unbeaten run with six consecutive clean sheets. It follows an outstanding group stage qualification campaign with Scotland topping the group and earning promotion back to 'League A'.

Finland had a tougher run in the summer group stages with just one win from six but confidently booked their place in the play-off final with a decisive 6-0 aggregate win over Montenegro in October.

Pre-match thoughts

Scotland Head Coach, Pedro Martinez Losa: “We did well with the dirty part of the game at Easter Road. That's a great credit to the team, not conceding a goal. We expect a little bit more on the ball but it's not as simple in this type of game.

"It's going to be a similar pattern for both teams in the next game. We are going to need just one opportunity to win the game in Finland."

Scotland captain, Caroline Weir: "It's still all to play for. There are some things to learn from and go into Tuesday. I think overall we have to be positive.

"The support was great. We have time to reset, refocus and recover tomorrow. It's a quick turnaround, I think it's a challenge but one that we're ready for."
