Michael Tuohy has named his first squad of 2026 as Scotland Women’s Under-17s prepare to head to Spain to take part in this year’s edition of the MIMA Cup.
The friendly tournament will be hosted in San Pedro del Pinatar between 9 – 14 February and Scotland will open their campaign against Morocco.
Opposition for the remaining two matchdays will be confirmed as the tournament progresses - the young team could face Wales, USA, England, Mexico, Norway or Poland.
Head Coach, Tuohy, has selected a 20-player squad with six changes to the group that took part in October’s UEFA European Championship qualifiers. Erin Anderson, Isla Gourley, Lexie Kelly Fellows, Lily McLaughlin, Isla Miller and Isla Taylor all drop out.
They’re replaced by Mehak Khanna, Abbie Burns, Lucy Jane Hope, Eilidh McCormack, Freya McIndoe – Abbie, Lucy Jane, Eilidh and Freya all make the step up from the Under-16 squad whilst it’s a first Scotland call-up for Mollie Palmer.
The friendly tournament will serve as preparation for Round 2 of the UEFA European Championship qualifiers in March where they’ll face Switzerland, Greece and hosts Norway as they look to secure a spot in the finals in Northern Ireland in June.
