As It Happened
Scotland grabbed an early lead in the game as they capitalised on an Israel mistake. Laura Berry had the ball on the edge of the box and played it into the path of Rebecca Taylor who kept her composure to slot a great finish into the net.
A dominant half from Scotland followed but Rebecca Taylor’s early goal remained the difference between the two teams going into half time.
Within minutes of coming on as a substitute, Lisa Forrest came close to doubling Scotland’s lead. Rebecca Taylor drove towards the box and played the ball to Forrest, who took a few touches around the 6-yard box, however the ball was eventually cleared by the Israel defence before the attacker could get a shot away.
In the 77th minute, Rebecca Taylor scored again with a fantastic finish. Laura Berry played the ball out wide to Taylor, who drove down the wing before she appeared to play a cross into the box, but her effort caught-out the goalkeeper and went directly into the top-left corner.
Substitute Lisa Forrest got herself a goal in the 81st minute when Mason Clark made a great run before playing the ball to Forrest inside the box. Forrest kept her composure to fire a great strike into the back of the net.
Deep into stoppage time, Scotland got their fourth and final goal of the game. Laura Berry won and then took a free kick just outside the box, finding the bottom left corner to give the striker her well-deserved goal.
