Scotland Women's Under-19's campaign to reach next summer's UEFA European Championships got off to the perfect start with a 3-2 victory over Ukraine in Lindabrunn, Austria.

Gareth Evans' side took the lead through an Abi Harrison goal after 17 minutes, only to be pegged back by an Olena Lymar effort for the Ukranians four minutes before half-time.

In the second half, Scotland took control of the match, with Erin Cuthbert regaining the lead just two minutes after the interval.

Despite a missed penalty from Harrison after 70 minutes, Scotland's advantage was doubled with 15 minutes to go through Lia Tweedie. Stefaniya Matviyishyn grabbed one back for Ukraine deep into stoppage time, but Evans' side held on for victory.

Scotland next face Albania on Thursday in the second match of the first qualifying round.
