The Scottish FA South East Region are delighted to launch the Coach Education Brochure for 2011.Once again, we have tailored our programmes to suit the needs of all coaches and volunteers in the Region wherever possible. As well as the SFA Coach Education Certificate Courses, the Region will offer a number of short coaching clinics, two football conferences and a full programme of club and volunteer development workshops.
We are entering a new era in Scottish Football and in doing so, the Scottish FA are in the process of developing one of the best coach education systems in the world. As well as developing the best coaches we aim to create a culture in Scotland where every player will have the opportunity to participate in our National Game in an environment and atmosphere which promotes respect, passion, enthusiasm and a freedom to be creative on the pitch.
To deliver this the Scottish Football Association has embraced a programme of positive coaching and will embed key principles across all aspects of the Game. This will be delivered through an army of motivated and highly-skilled coaches and volunteers and backed by passionate and respectful supporters. Also, in seeking to create the best possible environment for football in this country the Scottish FA and the Scottish Youth FA are delighted to be working together in a joint venture to further enhance the development of young players in Scotland. The outcome is a progressive, coherent and challenging player pathway that will allow young players to reach their potential throughout the country. As a small country we must work smarter and harder to ensure that all young people who wish to play our great game get that opportunity and in turn progress as far as they wish.
Our Game is only as good as the people involved and everyone in Scotland has a role to play. We must continue to inspire our young people and encourage them in their desire to improve individually and have the confidence to express themselves on the pitch.
Good luck and we look forward to welcoming you to one of our many courses or workshops in 2011.
