Having operated a pilot programme throughout 2009/10, the Scottish FA South East Region are delighted to announce a new programme will commence for 2011.
Coaches are invited to apply for the programme and applications will close on Friday 28th January 2011.
The Coach Mentoring Programme has been identified as a priority in the National Plan for Football Development and as a Region we are committed to the development of education and training that specifically targets our coaches.
The establishment of the Coach Mentoring Programme was identified as a key priority within the South East Region Football Development Plan. In addition to providing direct financial support, the Programme will provide support to coaches to assist with determining and mapping out their future personal development and training needs, as well as accessing a number of coach development initiatives at both a regional and national level.
Through the application process, appropriate coaches will be selected from the following strands:
Strand 1: Scottish FA Quality Mark Coaches (Priority: Community & Development Clubs)
Strand 2: Local Authority Community Coaches
Strand 3: Senior Club Youth Initiative Coaches
Please note that to be selected, applicants must be aiming to attain a Level 4 Coaching Award or License Qualification within the next twelve months.
