The Scottish FA South East Region will be holding a coach workshop on Wednesday 28th April at Peffermill Playing Fields, Edinburgh (6pm – 8.30pm).
This workshop will introduce coaches to the Scottish FA Skills Challenge, a ground breaking regional and national programme designed to test and develop the individual skills of young players.
The in-service is free of charge and open to any coaches or volunteers who are interested in developing the individual technique of their players.
All coaches attending the workshop will be provided with a DVD of the Scottish FA Skills Challenge, a new interactive skills testing and development tool for young players containing footage of all the skills, details on how to deliver them for various age groups, and scoring sheets that record achievement.
In Scandinavia, where the idea originated, there are local, regional and national skills championships, and the Scottish FA is holding a similar programme in 2010 with regional winners taking part in National Finals later in the year.
The Scottish FA South East Regional finals will take place on the weekend of the 26th/27th June and more details will follow soon.
