This week Scottish FA Chief Executive Stewart Regan sat down with a number of the press big guns to discuss moving Scottish football forward – an interview that featured heavily in Wednesday’s print press and also on our own site.

Campbell Ogilvie was also in the news this week as he helped draw the first round of the William Hill Scottish Cup and was on hand to give his thoughts on the competition and the new sponsor exclusively to the Scottish FA website.

Scotland goalie Craig Gordon was at Hampden to launch year two of the Tesco Bank Football Challenge which exceeded all of its participation targets in its first year.

Craig Levein and Anna Signeul invited every Scotland fan to become part of the Vauxhall Wall of Fame which will pay homage to our proud history and our future aspirations and you could be included.
 

To much fanfare, the Scottish National Teams iPhone app was launched this week with the help of Scotland legend Alan Rough and is already a hit on the itunes chart.

National Teams

Back to back wins for Anna Signeul’s side after following up a convincing 5-0 win over Switzerland with a 1-0 win over Belgium at the Falkirk Stadium with Julie Fleeting netting an early winner. Full match report and highlights available on the links.


Ahead of tomorrow’s clash with the Czech Republic, Scotland star Steven Naismith declared that the squad is raring to go and highlights the commitment in the squad that Peter Houston praised earlier in the week.

Billy Stark named his under-21 side for Monday night's game against Bulgaria at their new home of St. Mirren stadium. Billy's side will be looking to build on last month's comfortable 3-0 win over Norway.

Craig Thomson, William Collum and Euan Norris flew out to Switzerland on Monday to attend UEFA’s annual Summer Gathering for its Top Referees. The Course ran until Wednesday and UEFA invited the 23 Elite Referees, 11 Elite Development Referees and 65 First Category Referees to attend.


In other Craig Thomson news, he has been appointed to referee tonight's Israel v. Greece Group F Qualifying match for EURO 2012. Francis Andrews and Alasdair Ross will be Craig’s assistant referees with top ref blogger Steven McLean acting as the Fourth Official.

Frantically busy week for registrations department with the transfer window slamming shut on Wednesday at midnight and Stewart Regan used his twitter to thank Sandy, Karen, Vicki and Joanne for working well into the early hours.
