The Second Preliminary Round got underway on Friday evening as St Cadoc's hosted their first ever Scottish Cup match against Glasgow neighbours Pollok, though they would go on to suffer a narrow defeat, with Ryan McCreath scoring the only goal of the game for The 'Lok.
24 matches then took place on Saturday, kicking off at the Hamish B. Allan Stadium as Newtongrange Star ran out 4-2 winners against Rutherglen Glencairn.
Musselburgh Athletic, who reached the Fourth Round last season, enjoyed a big win over Vale of Leithen as they began their journey this season, with Jordan Smith scoring a hat-trick.
Dundee North End also enjoyed a strong run last season before losing to Airdrieonians and they kicked off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Whitehill Welfare.
Johnstone Burgh came through the first Preliminary Round on their Scottish Cup debut and they won on the road again on Saturday, coming from behind to win 2-1 against Whitburn Juniors, after goals from Ian McShane and Derek Esplin.
The other Scottish Cup debutants suffered mixed fortunes, with Tweedmouth Rangers losing 3-1 to Lochee United and Invergordon winning by the same scoreline after extra time against Dunipace.
Darvel made Scottish Cup headlines three seasons ago by defeating Jim Goodwin's Aberdeen and they also enjoyed a 3-1 victory away to Blackburn United.
Wigtown and Bladnoch's match against Camelon was unfortunately postponed following a pre-match medical emergency. Both sides will enter Sunday's draw, with the game rescheduled for next Saturday.

Former Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibernian midfielder Dylan McGeouch - a Scottish Cup winner in 2016 - will join Gordon Duncan to conduct the draw.
