Storm Filomena’s freezing temperatures resulted in a weather-hit Second Round schedule in early January. Following the suspension of the Scottish Cup competition being lifted, the second continues 72 days later with the rescheduled ties now taking place.
A number of absorbing ties lie in store, with the added intrigue of the sides knowing their fate, with the Third Round having already taken place.
Falkirk make the trip to Gayfield to take on Arbroath, with the winners of the tie set to take on the Cup holders, Celtic, in the Third Round.
It’s a Highland Derby at Victoria Park as Inverness Caledonian Thistle take on Buckie Thistle, with the prospect of a further Highland Derby against Ross County in store for the victors.
Fellow highlanders Brora Rangers welcome 2018-19 and 2019-20 finalists Heart of Midlothian to Dudgeon Park – the winners will face Stranraer.
Dumbarton host Huntly; the winners of the tie will welcome Aberdeen in the Third Round.
Newly appointed Ayr United manager David Hopkin will take his side to Borough Briggs, as they take on Elgin City. The winners of this tie will take on the winner of Keith or Clyde, who also go head-to-head on Tuesday evening.
Annan Athletic will make the trip north to take on Formartine United, with 2017-18 finalists Motherwell awaiting the winners.
It’s an all-Championship affair at Cappielow, as Morton face Dunfermline. Gus MacPherson, named as Ton manager earlier this month, will be hoping his side can prevail and book a Third Round match-up against East Fife.
Nairn County welcome Montrose to Station Park; the winner of this tie will take on Fraserburgh in the Third Round. Nairn will be hoping to reach the last 32 of the competition for the first time since 1986
In Glasgow, Partick Thistle and Cowdenbeath go head-to-head for a spot in the Third Round; the victor will take on Dundee United.
Peterhead and Stenhousemuir face off for a tie against 1997 winners Kilmarnock.
Raith Rovers make the trip to Forthbank, as they take on Stirling Albion; League Cup Finalists Livingston await the winners of this tie.
