On the 12th and 14th of May, 11 primary schools from West Dunbartonshire were put through their paces at the Football Skills Challenge.

Throughout the day, the young players were tested with a series of timed drills including passing, dribbling, heading and shooting with the scores added together to come up with a final score for 6 disciplines.

This was the first time an event of this kind had been held for the Primary Schools in Scotland and all the players involved thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were eager to prove their skills to the watching coaches, teachers and councillors.

Special thanks go to all the coaching staff at West Dunbartonshire Football, Active Schools and Students from Clydebank College who helped to run the event and hopefully there will be many more like it in the future.
