S1 boys and S1-S3 girls from six secondary schools took part in a recent Bank of Scotland Soccer One festival in Dundee.
Nearly a 100 pupils braved the weather to take part in the tournament, organised by Scott Madden, who has recently been appointed as part of the Football Development team for the Dundee Area.
The schools that took part included Grove Academy, Craigie, St. John's, St Paul's, Morgan Academy and Braeview.
Bank of Scotland Soccer One is a national network of football activity running in participating High Schools across Scotland from August to June. Run in partnership with the Scottish FA and title sponsors Bank of Scotland, the programme aims to create new football teams in schools for boys and girls, regardless of ability.
In the past two years, Bank of Scotland Soccer One has helped create over 400 new boys and girls school football teams, providing free coaching and games for thousands of young people who would previously not have had the chance to play.
In total, over 300 schools are currently participating across Scotland, reaching 8,800 young people.
