The South East Region learning Disability Schools League first round of fixtures of the new season took place on Friday 1st October at Hibernian FC Training Ground.


The league is run in partnership between the Scottish FA, Scottish Disability Sport & Hibernian Community Foundation.

 It was an exciting start to the new season with Donaldson’s and Knox Academy making their first ever appearance in the league, we also saw the return of Regional Champions Cedar Bank along with Woodlands, Pilrig Park, Saltersgate and Pinewood.

Donaldson’s got off to a great start with an impressive 6 wins out of 6, scoring a whopping total of 26 goals, a great way to start of the new season.

Scottish FA Assistant National Development Officer, Greig Taylor said “ It was fantastic to see the two new teams today, I was impressed with the attitude and commitment from all the players, it was a cold, wet and windy day but the players just got on with their business and their was some exciting games on show. A special thanks must go to Hibernian FC and the Hibernian Community Foundation for letting us use such a fantastic facility”.
