Due to the launch of the Scottish FA National Player Pathway and high demand for this event, the South East Region will be hosting two coach development days aimed specifically at coaches working with players in 4-a-side and 7-a-side formats.
Saturday 26th February 2011
Hearts FC Training Academy, Heriot-Watt University
12 noon – 3pm
Sunday 27th February 2011
Albyn Park, Broxburn
10am – 1pm
The free events are in addition to the certified coach education courses offered in the Region.
The small-sided games coach development days will focus on developing young football players aged 12 and under (although content will also be relevant to all age groups) with a focus on developing individual technique as well as developing training sessions based on specific themes. The day will include practical demonstrations as well as discussion topics.
As with previous years, the standard of guest coach will be extremely high, including Hibernian children’s coaching guru, James McDonagh and St Mirren head of youth development, David Longwell. James and David will also be joined by Scottish FA license coaches and tutors, David Sheldon and Keith Wright.
We anticipate there will be high demand so encourage interested coaches to book early. To confirm your booking, please return the attached application form to the Scottish FA South East Region, Mcarthur Pavilion, 42 Peffermill Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5LL.
