The Scottish FA South East Region is hosting several workshops in August to support local clubs within the region’s Small-Sided Games Associations.
Five FREE workshops will be held across all local authority areas.
The workshops are aimed at coaches who want to further develop their coaching skills and knowledge to provide high quality coaching sessions for their clubs.
Sessions will be separated into two sections, one for 4-a-side coaches and one for 7-a-side coaches.
Tutors will focus on areas such as individual technique development and developing the foundations for tactical play that will allow players to develop as individuals as well as within the team environment. The sessions will also address the rules of the game by age and stage.
Sessions will take place on the following days;

DUE TO ANTICIPATED LARGE NUMBERS AT THIS WORKSHOP THIS WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY 5TH AUGUST AT ALMONDVALE STADIUM, LIVINGSTON FC BETWEEN 6.30PM AND 8.30PM.
THE CONFIRMED DATES AND TIMES ARE NOW AS FOLLOWS:
- Wednesday 4th August - Peffermill, Edinburgh (6.30 - 8.00pm)
- Thursday 5th August - Almondvale Stadium , West Lothian (6.30-8.30pm)
- Friday 6th August - Netherdale Stadium, Galashiels (7.00 - 8.30pm)
- Wednesday 11th August - Hallhill, Dunbar (6.30 - 8.00pm)
- Monday 23rd August - Poltonhall Recreation Ground, Bonnyrigg (6.00 - 7.30pm)
Whilst the main focus and content for the evening will be practical based we will also be covering items such as rule changes for the coming season as well as an update on the National Player Pathway. Those attending will also receive free supporting coach education and development resources.
Coaches attending the sessions will also receive free resources that they can take back and use at their clubs.
