Coach Coordinators representing the South West Region’s Quality Mark Clubs gathered for their latest meeting at Kilmarnock’s Park Hotel this weekend. Following the positive meeting the key people from many of the clubs were guests of Kilmarnock FC at the Killie v Motherwell match.

After a welcome bacon roll and coffee the group discussed the outcomes from the previous national gathering at Hampden in January and decided that the Developing  1 v 1 Individual Skills programme was one that the Region should encourage for all clubs.

Player pathway presentations were delivered to ensure that all clubs were aware of the  4v4 and 7v7 workshops that were on offer to all of the coaches.  The group also received an offer of Positive Coaching Workshops for their own clubs.
A brand new coach mentoring scheme was discussed and began to take shape after valuable input from all the member clubs.

Before making their way to the match there was time for The Big Draw when extra training kit was awarded to: Mill United FC, Cumnock Juniors YFC, Kilbirnie CFC, EK Thistle, Heston Rovers, Kilwining SC and Bonnyton Thistle.
