The draw for Fifth Round of the Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup took place at Rugby Park on Sunday evening, with three-time winner Steven Davis joining host Iona Ballantyne to decide the ties.

Holders Aberdeen were drawn against Motherwell in an all-Premiership affair, while last year's beaten finalists Celtic will host Dundee.

Queen's Park, who stunned Rangers last season, could return to Ibrox if they defeat Stranraer in the Fourth Round match that was postponed on Saturday.

Dunfermline Athletic created the shock of the round when they defeated Hibs on Saturday and they will host Fife rivals Kelty Hearts in Round Five.

Airdrieonians and St Mirren were both winners on penalties and they will face off at the Albert Bartlett Stadium, while League One pacesetters Stenhousemuir - who stunned Greenock Morton on Round Four - will host Falkirk.

The two remaining League Two sides, The Spartans and Elgin City, take on Dundee United and Partick Thistle.

The full draw is listed below.

The fixtures will take place on the weekend of Saturday, 7 February.

Speaking after the draw, Steven Davis reflected on a weekend of shocks in the competition. He said: “It was a great weekend of fixtures. I think it’s what the cup was all about. The stand-out for me was Dunfermline beating Hibs.

“It was a bit unexpected and obviously Falkirk against the league leaders was a shock too.

“I think Aberdeen against Motherwell is the stand-out tie from the draw. It’ll be well contested. Pittodrie is a tough place to go but Motherwell have looked really good this season so they’ll be keen to go there and get a result.

“My old club Rangers will be happy with that draw too. They’re in a good place just now and they’ll be keen to keep that momentum going.

"But, of course, it's cup football, so you have to go into every game and be at your best to progress. As soon as you think too far ahead, then you kind of become unstuck."

The former Rangers midfielder won the cup in 2008, 2009 and 2022, and he picked out the final one as the highlight.

Davis added: “I was fortunate to win the cup on three occasions. I won it in my first year and it was the last trophy I won in football as well.

"I've really good memories of the Scottish Cup in general. Obviously, I won it on loan at the club back in 2008, and then followed up in 2009.

"Unfortunately It was a long break in between, but it was my last trophy I got my hands on for the club in 2022.

"Especially coming off the back of the disappointment and emotion of the defeat in Seville, and a quick turnaround in the game, it was really important for us to have something to show for our season in terms of silverware.

"Obviously it went to extra time again, but Ryan Jack and Scott Wright coming up with the goals to win it on the day was brilliant.

"That one probably stands out because it let us finish the season on a high and it’s always special to get your hands on this trophy."
