The Compliance Officer has issued the following Notice of Complaint:
Alleged Party in Breach: Steven Lawless (Partick Thistle FC)
Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached:
1) Disciplinary Rule 22 (Season 2012/13): In that between 27th December 2012 and 15th January 2013, both dates inclusive, you placed bets upon 20 football matches.
2) Disciplinary Rule 33 (Season 2013/14): In that between 22nd September 2013 and 5th April 2014, both dates inclusive, you placed bets upon 268 football matches.
3) Disciplinary Rule 31 (current): In that between 2nd November 2014 and 3rd March 2015, both dates inclusive, you placed bets upon 225 football matches.
Principal Hearing Date: Thursday, 21st May 2015
Disciplinary Rule 22 (from season 2012/13): No club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, referee or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall bet in any way on a football match (except authorised and registered football pools).
Disciplinary Rule 33 (from season 2013/14): No club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall bet in any way on a football match (except authorised and registered football pools).
Disciplinary Rule 31 (current): No club, official, Team Official or other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall gamble in any way on a football match. Any such club or person to have engaged in gambling of any description on football shall be in breach of this rule.
Please note that there is no evidence to suggest any breach of Disciplinary Rule 32.
Disciplinary Rule 32 (for reference): No club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall knowingly behave in a manner, during or in connection with a match in which the party has participated or has any influence, either direct or indirect, which could give rise to an event in which they or any third party benefits financially through gambling.
