Stirling City All Stars F.C hosted their first player of the year awards night on Friday 2nd October at the Torbrex Inn.
Stirling City All Stars are a disability football team, set up in the summer of 2007, to give everyone a chance to play football.
The eagerly awaited arrival of Stirling Albion midfielder Liam Corr meant it was time to unveil the awards for 2009 as follows;
Top Goalscorer - John Connelly
Top Trainer - Shaun Wotton
Most Improved Player - Stuart Munro
Players players of the year - Iain McLeod
Coaches player of the year - Garrie Knight
Also each player in the squad received an award for their achievements and efforts over the season. After this the players had the chance to enjoy a chat and picture with Liam Corr.
Liam was soon in action again modelling a signed 2009/10 Stirling Albion home top to help raise funds for the All Stars and over £400 was raised through a raffle, which will cover the costs of the clubs indoor training over the winter months.
Huge thanks go to Liam Corr, Steven Lieper (Prudential & Stirling Albion), Torbrex inn, and all sponsors who donated so generously.
