The programme is designed to help bolster the game's continued growth while promoting fun, fitness and skill-building for primary-aged girls and strengthening local communities through football.
The new SWNT ambassadors for each region are:
Central Region – Sam Kerr

Scotland midfielder and central region ambassador Sam Kerr recently attended a training session in Stirling: “The importance of the KDM Group soccer centres is huge.
“When I was younger there definitely wasn’t as many opportunities to play so initiatives like this are so important to encourage young girls to get involved.
“The environment is so relaxed and fun which allows young people to stay active whilst making new friends and engaging with the sport.”
Mark Jones, Executive Director, KDM Group: “The growth of the girls’ and women’s game has been exceptional, not just in Scotland but globally.
“We’re so proud to be involved in the evolution of the game and we can see the impact the programme is having at grassroots level. One of the key factors is the confidence of young players and seeing girls come along and engage with the sport, along with their friends, you can see the enjoyment that participation brings.
“Social and community engagement is a really important element too. It’s bringing together players, coaches and parents all around the country.”
