Scotland rounded off Group B in style on Tuesday night with a convincing 6-0 win on the road against the Faroe Islands.

Pedro Martinez Losa and his squad wanted to maintain momentum ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup play-offs and they duly delivered.

Now all eyes are on Friday's draw in Geneva, which kicks off at 12.30pm and will be covered live on our special edition of Scotland HQ.

The mood in the camp

Martinez Losa is pleased with the clear progress his group is making, but he still feels like there's more to come.

The Spaniard has laid down the challenge to his players to go out and make names for themselves - to follow in the footsteps of those who made history by qualifying for the World Cup and European Championships.

He said: "We celebrated the achievement of reaching the play-offs on Tuesday night but now is not the time to relax. We have to be ready for the final sprint - players and staff.

"From Friday we will be fully focused on what comes next and look after every detail to make sure we give ourselves the best opportunity to compete and win the play-offs.

"We need to consolidate what we're doing well but also have more faith in what they can do, because it's a group with incredible potential.

"What this team is capable of doing now is going up another level."

How the play-off draw works...

The play-offs will take place between 3–11 October.

In the play-offs, the three best qualifying group runners-up will be seeded directly to Round Two of the play-offs. The six remaining runners-up will contest three single-leg play-offs in Round One.

The three winners from Round One and the three teams seeded directly to Round Two will then compete in single-leg play-offs determined by a draw.

The two play-off winners with the highest ranking (based on results in the qualifying group stage and Round Two play-offs) will qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The remaining play-off winner will compete in the inter-confederation play-offs.

Inter-confederation play-off

A ten-team tournament will be held from 17 to 23 February 2023 in Australia and New Zealand to decide the last three finalists.

CONMEBOL: 2

The teams will be split into three groups, two of three teams and one of four, with seeding decided by FIFA ranking. All three groups will be played as separate knockout competitions with the winner of each qualifying for the finals.

In the two three-team groups, the seeded team will go straight to the final (after playing a friendly against Australia or New Zealand) and meet the winner of a semi-final between the other two nations.
